History Behind the Brand
The company was founded by Jay S. Moon in 1993. Before starting his own business, Moon worked for LG Appliances, formerly Goldstar, as a General Manager. Moon is a consummate entrepreneur who previously founded IBC USA, an OEM component supplier to large appliance companies including General Electric (GE), Electrolux and Whirlpool. He founded Hearthware Home Products in 1997 to combine his product technology expertise with his passion for healthy cooking. In 2004, IBC USA and Hearthware Home Products were incorporated as IBC-Hearthware, Inc. In 2014, the company name changed to NuWave, LLC.
